While visiting Copenhagen in 2014 I discovered a graduation ritual unlike anything I had seen in the UK. As a social anthropology grad I was intrigued by groups of teenagers dancing on open sided trucks decorated with banners and curious paraphernalia, all wearing a peaked a hat better suited to Captain Birdsyeye.
Years later, after becoming a Danish resident, I started to photograph this annual celebration which has since become known beyond Scandinavia thanks to the Oscar-winning film, ‘Another Round’ (Druk).
